Aby & Paco

Vallarta Gardens · La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
June 6, 2021 · Puerto Vallarta

Vallarta Gardens lies at kilometre 1.2 of the road to Punta de Mita, on the edge of the fishing village of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle — minutes from the Marina Riviera Nayarit and half an hour north of Puerto Vallarta. It is a boutique property of lush, sprawling gardens along a quiet stretch of the bay, made for garden ceremonies that finish with the Pacific as the backdrop. That is exactly how Aby & Paco celebrated theirs.

Wedding venue: Vallarta Gardens

The lovely couple Aby & Paco chose La Cruz as the perfect place to celebrate the blending of their souls. Organized by Lilian Ojeda, the wedding took place at Vallarta Gardens. Naturally sheltered from the bustle of towns and tourism, the property grounds are filled with colourful flowers, tropical foliage, statuesque palms and the indigenous Huanacaxtle tree. A walking path meanders through the middle of the property, winding around small pools, over bridges and past sun terraces, which enhanced the ambience of the party in the beautiful, classic décor made by Lilian with white and purple accents.

Wedding photography in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle

The session started with the getting ready at their hotel. Everyone had put on their best outfits to celebrate Aby and Paco's love. A traditional ceremony followed at La Cruz's church. Both families were very emotive, and the children present made those moments even more special.

The group finally gathered at Vallarta Gardens to enjoy the peaceful beachfront venue and the extensive views over Banderas Bay.

Getting married at Grand Mayan Palace, Nuevo Vallarta

My first ever wedding was at Grand Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallarta. That was years ago — I wasn't yet a photographer, and I had ten percent of the equipment I work with now.
