Jen & Francesco

Sayulita · Riviera Nayarit
June 6, 2021 · Puerto Vallarta

Sayulita is the Riviera Nayarit's bohemian surf town — cobblestone streets, papel picado strung over the plaza, and a beach that turns to gold in the hour before sunset. It draws couples who want to marry barefoot, ceremony on the sand, party a few steps from the surf break. Jen & Francesco said their vows here facing the Pacific, then let the town do what it does best: music, mezcal and dancing late into the night.

We begin the new wedding season in the picturesque village of Sayulita with Jen and Francesco, who came from Canada to get married in our beautiful region of Nayarit. The getting ready was at the Hotel Casa Blanca, where they stayed — a very nice place surrounded by palm trees with a pretty view toward the beach. When I looked up directions, I found out it has an excellent TripAdvisor rating that competes with Vallarta's best hotels.

The ceremony was held at the amazing Sandzibar, a beach restaurant in the Alamar development on the north shore of Banderas Bay, in the village of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. It offers an incredible view over the whole inner part of the bay, including the five representative towns: La Cruz, Bucerías, Nuevo Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta and Boca de Tomatlán. My previous contract for architectural photography at the Alamar resort gave me some insights and ideas about where to take my shots. Nevertheless, it is such a visually amazing place that I never run out of inspiration and find something new in every corner.

These lovely lovers enjoyed an intimate and unforgettable party. I hope they will enjoy their photos as much as we love capturing the unforgettable moments of every wedding. Our best wishes today and always for Jen and Francesco.
