Knight & Madeline

South shore · Banderas Bay, Puerto Vallarta
March 14, 2026 · Puerto Vallarta

A rooftop rehearsal dinner, a ceremony on the sand at golden hour, and a dance floor under the vines until well past midnight.

The night before — rooftop rehearsal dinner

Both families ate together on a white terrace above the ocean: long tables, papel-picado linen, margaritas, and the specific noise two families make the first time they are all in one room.

Late afternoon — the ceremony on the sand

An arch dressed in coral, magenta and marigold, the bay behind, the bridal party coming down the sand in yellow, orange and red. Knight in green velvet, Madeline in lace. Petals all the way back up the aisle.

“Everything in the frame was orange, and then the sky went the same colour.”

Golden hour, then the city lights

Twenty minutes alone with the couple while the light was still gold. Then the sun dropped, Puerto Vallarta lit up across the water, and we got the two frames the whole day had been building to.

After dark — under the vines

Dinner under a vine-covered palapa strung with lights and mirror balls, a first dance inside a curtain of sparklers, and a floor that stayed full: groomsmen in a line, a disco ball, confetti.

Getting married on a beach in Puerto Vallarta

March is one of the best months here — no rain, low humidity, and a sunset at a civilised hour. On a south-shore beach the sun is on the water around 18:30, which means vows at 17:00, family photographs at 18:00, and dinner in the dark. That last forty minutes of daylight is the whole reason to come here. Send me your date.
