Punta Mita photographer – Wedding at the Nahui

Along my carreer as a photographer, I have seen and documented many couples. What amazes me most after all this time is how each wedding is unique and surprises me in some way. Paulina & David’s was no exception. I spent a wonderful time with them and their family and as a result, I was able to do a beautiful mix of photojournalism and fine art photography.

    Hear their story

Paulina and I met at our place of employment, an upscale hotel in El Paso, TX. The moment I laid eyes on her, I knew she was the one. We were from opposites side of the track, yet, the chemistry was so real.

We had a forbidden love, as her family did not approve of a young man with such a colorful past. Initially the relationship was anything but easy, however, our love for each other grew every day. After three years of hiding our relationship from the world, we packed up our personal items and moved across Country to Southern California.

Soon after, her family realized what had happened and also realized that our bond was unbreakable. After years of being treated like the black sheep, I turned my cheek and reached out to her family one last time. After finally being accepted as Paulina’s partner, I decided it was time to make her my time.

One Saturday afternoon, I took her for a ride and we ended up at a private Airport in LA. After walking past Taylor’s Swift private jet, we jumped in a Helicopter. She questioned why we were there and I told her I had won the ride (my cover up). We flew over the Hollywood Hills, Malibu Beaches, until we landed on a Skyscraper in LA. I took her to the edge of the Terrace, to take in the breathtaking views of the City Skyline. Meanwhile, our Pilot set up an Italian Style table and chairs with a bottle of Rose and chocolate covered strawberries. I took Paulina by the hand and walked her to our table for 2. At this point, Paulina knew something was up. I poured the bubbly and told her “Cheers to more life”. A few seconds later, I was down on one knee and asked her to Marry Me.

On December 30, 2017 our Dreams became Reality in Punta de Mita, Nayarit.
